How to purchase a yearly track day license (MA & Racers)

Motorcycling Australia License (Queensland Raceway & Morgan Park)

Step 1: Create a RiderNet account

RiderNet Registration

If you've had an MA licence before, sign in with your existing RiderNet ID instead of creating a new account.

Step 2: Have these documents ready

Before starting your application, you'll need:

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver licence or passport)
  • Proof of rider competency, such as:
    • Your motorcycle licence
    • A previous MA licence
    • A competency assessment by an accredited coach or Level 2 official (if required)

Step 3: Apply for your licence

  1. Log in to RiderNet.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Click Licences.
  4. Select Add Licence.
  5. Choose:
    • Riding Licence
    • Recreational
  6. Follow the prompts to upload your documents and complete your details.

Step 4: Pay online

Complete payment through RiderNet.

Your licence will then appear in your RiderNet account and can also be accessed through the MA app.

For an Annual Recreational Licence, you generally do not need to join an MA-affiliated club.

Club membership is typically required for Competition (Race) Licences, not Recreational Licences.

How to purchase a RACERS licence (Lakeside Park)

Lakeside days use RACERS instead of Motorcycling Australia. A RACERS licence allows you to participate in RACERS-authorised ride days, test days and motorsport events.

Step 1: Go to the RACERS website

Click here to create a RACERS account & buy a license

Step 2: Choose the licence type

Select the licence that matches your event. For most recreational track days, this will usually be an Event Licence or the licence type requested by your event organiser.

Step 3: Complete your details

Fill in your personal information, emergency contact details and any required medical information.

Step 4: Read and accept the waiver

You’ll need to agree to the RACERS licence terms and event conditions before continuing.

Step 5: Pay online

Complete payment online before the event. RACERS recommends purchasing your licence before event day to avoid delays at sign-on.

Step 6: Download the RACERS app

You can use the RACERS app to view your licence, add your ID photo, view events and enter events from your phone.

Tip: Always check your track day provider’s event page first, as they’ll usually tell you whether you need a RACERS licence, Motorcycling Australia licence, or a one-event licence.
